It's like Rend and Iajutsu Focus had a love-child! Seems a bit powerful for Moderate though, as it's always applicable, not situational like Sneak-Attack, no exclusion is mentioned for creatures immune to extra damage from critical hits, and it applies it's extra damage to every foe you hit for the total number of successful hits, independently of how many times that specific enemy was hit. All told it looks to be more powerful (expecially with the ability to double the extra untyped damage) than Sneak-Attack. Wouldn't that put it into the High powered category? If a Dervish had this, or really any character that had the ability to move and pull off a full-attack while doing so the consequences could be dire. Put the first attacks, with the highest bonus into the BEEG until you hit once, then move off spreading the other weaker attacks around the mooks and minions. Thanks for the input! I actually waffled between High and Moderate. On one hand, lots of damage potential. On the other, it's actually kind of unreliable (and more-so the lower balance you go). The higher number your call, the better the results, but also the more likely you'll break the chain. Remember, you take the result of either your predicted number, or the actual number, whichever is lower, so if you have 10 attacks, call 10, but only make 5 before you miss you get the result for 5. Calling low is safe, and makes it easier to obtain the double damage, but you'll be stuck at whatever low number you called.
Since it was brought up to me that the wording may be unclear, I am looking it over to make sure the intent is made clear.
The ability to spread your attacks around many mooks and hit them all with a Xd6 finisher is entirely intentional though. Call it the fighter's AoE. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 04:31, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
Oh indeed, I thought it was intentional that the damage could be equally spread around. My only criticism is the rating. I think it's a really solid feat, a nice mechanic and definitely gives the moderate and low melee classes a way to bring their power level more into line with the H and VH classes. It's rock solid, I just think it should be rated High because of it's general level of sweetness. Tunganation (talk) 04:44, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
