Transform[edit]

So can he memorize a number of forms equal to his intelligence SCORE (being 2 in this case) or his intelligence MODIFIER? TomRyanKindrick 20:15, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

Since you don't normally change the numbers of monsters, and monsters aren't given abilities they cannot use, I assume it is meant to be score instead of modifier. --Havvy 04:48, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Understandable; but now what I'm wondering is: it says a "well-trained" ditto can memorize. Does that mean a wild ditto can't? TomRyanKindrick 18:46, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Unless 'well-trained' is defined somewhere, I'm assuming it is a flavorful euphemism for 'at its strongest'. As such, a wild ditto can memorize. --Havvy 23:52, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
This is old, but may as well add to this for future reference. In Pokemon d20, the Pokemaster class has an ability at 4th level that increases a captured creature's Intelligence to the Pokemaster's ranks in Handle Animal, if not already greater, after a week. So a "trained" Ditto will often have an Intelligence of 9 or more. Wild Ditto will be stuck at 2 stored forms, even at advanced hit dice (though those forms will become more powerful creatures, since the CR will be higher as well) while trained Ditto will have half their hit dice in forms available. --Quantumboost 08:43, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
