Talk:Harmonic Courage (3.5e Skill Trick)

Lackeys and Pricing[edit]
Doesn't a skill trick only cost 2 skill points, so a +1 bonus to Perform means you think this skill trick is half as good as a normal one (less than half, given that it buffs a skill which is important to you)?
Also, this trick is a little crazy with a handful of level 1 Bards following you about. --Foxwarrior (talk) 04:46, 25 September 2012 (UTC)
- The +1 thing is just a flavorful experiment I'm running with skill tricks. It seemed fitting. If its overpowering, do tell.
- As far as the legion of bard followers, I accounted for this in this and all the other tricks by limiting the amount of improvement they can provide (either by a cap, or making the improvement so that you would need to have an unreasonably large army, and all the consequences that come with it... moving them around, the fact that they're squishy AoE fodder, DM throwing rocks at your head...) In this case it's a hard cap. After 5 bards, there's no more bonuses to give. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 04:52, 25 September 2012 (UTC)
- Well, it seems like skill tricks usually give more than they take away, since dumping just one skill nets you an extra skill trick every other level.
- Since this lets you boost everyone's AC and Saves by a couple points, it's definitely worth being 2 worse at Ride. --Foxwarrior (talk) 05:00, 25 September 2012 (UTC)
