Balance[edit]

Would put this at least at Moderate, maybe High, since it's effectively the same as strong grip without the prerequisites while filling an additional prerequisite itself. --Ghostwheel (talk) 08:32, 5 November 2016 (UTC)

Not seeing any relation to Strong Grip here. If anything the comparison was to Improved Shield Bash (for the keep the AC thing), except minus the ability to attack with it because it is a buckler. And I don't think ISB is particularly strong. Somewhere between Low and Moderate I'd guess. Then again, I only see it as a pre-req for something better, like people and Dodge usually, so that might color my opinion on ISB. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 08:36, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
It lets you use a two-handed weapon and a buckler at the same time, which is similar to Strong Grip in that it lets you make full use of power attack while still gaining a shield bonus to AC (which is the main point of Strong Grip). That said, this might be close enough to Improved Buckler Defense (Complete Warrior) that it might not warrant its own feat. YMMV. --Ghostwheel (talk) 10:02, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
Huh, how did I miss that feat. Hm. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 10:47, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
