Talk:Mew (3.5e Monster)

An amazing presentation of Mew, and the inclusion of Proximity to Cat (3.5e Spell) fits very well, but I've got to point out a few things, and ask a few questions:

  • Using Improved Hit Die (3.5e Feat) is a good idea, and it does bring Mew's HP to rival Mewtwo's however the HD difference is too great, though neither mew or mewtwo can be controlled because of Challange rating 26, mew can be captured with half the effort of mewtwo. it needs to be revised to something as similar as mewtwo. Perhaps explaining why mewtwo's monster levels pre-calculate his class levels.
  • How are you adding together his saves? LeShay's Reflexes (3.5e Feat), Tarrasque's Fortitude (3.5e Feat) and Elder Brain's Will (3.5e Feat) add 14, an level 24 wizard's saves are 8,8,13 = 22,22,27 now at level 24 he's epic level thats +2 to saves and BaB, = 24,24,29, finally, there's the Ability modifiers, 8,8,8, making his total saves 32,32,37. is my math wrong or is there something I'm missing? If the feats replace the wizard instead of adding, then that makes the total 24,24,24...
  • Dex modifier is 8, he doesn't have improved initiative, how is his initiative +16!?
  • The spot and listen skills are listed for his senses, may I attempt to fill his skills?
  • You say you added one for each stat at each level to level 20 and 1 at 24, this makes SOME sense, but here's my question... Mew, the legendary pokemon which has the genetic material of all pokemon... starts out as a level 1 wizard, with 7 in all stats? mentally, physically and genetically inferior in all counts, unable to cast spells or use it's abilities(is there some special note that mew starts out with all special abilities or full level automaticly?).. no wonder there's only one...? the beginning feats help, yes, but not to that extent...

May I attempt to balance/explain these? (SnafuSam talk) November 13, 2013 14:26(PDT), --Snafusam (talk) 01:33, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

No comment on the rest, not my stuff, but concerning things such as LeShay's Reflexes. Those feats set a minimum for you for your base saves. So if your base Reflex is +8 (before Dex and the like) and LeShay would give you +12, you take +12 and go from there adding Dex and other things as you go. The more you know. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 01:49, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
So LeShay's Reflexes (3.5e Feat) 12+2, dex mod +7 and Epic level +2 that equals 24, Mew's is 26... how?
wizard at 24 should have +8 to base save, but that's altered/over-ridden/excluded by LeShay's Reflexes (3.5e Feat) --Snafusam (talk) 18:13, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
