Oi, yes, this is epic, thats the intent. As far as it's effect, keep in mind that this is not intended for use against your CR 34 BBEG, it'll never work unless his AC is in the pits. This IS intended for lesser creatures though, forgoing the slog through their hit points and killing them right off the bat, which seems perfectly reasonable to do to mooks and lesser creatures when you're level 30. As far as saves go or the lack of them, its effectively HD capped. Well, AC capped in this case, but you get the idea. Only weak creatures or strong creatures you've set up to fail through debuffs, buffs, and luck, will fall victim.
One could make an argument then that it's circumstantial though. -- Eiji-kun 04:35, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- So the point of this feat is that you are suppose to combine it with other feats so as to break the RNG or kill mooks who weren't posing a problem in the first place? Also, the BAB +30 being impossible is *impossible*. BAB caps out at 20. Then it's the base epic attack bonus that goes up. At minimum, you have to be level 40 to take this feat, which is outside even normal epic range levels.
- Also, as far as Complete Sublime goes, I believe this feat harms the overall product. --Havvy 06:02, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- Oh blah. I've been playing so long with my custom/Immortals Handbook style epic rules I totally forgot WotC screwed the pooch on BAB in epic levels. And Complete Epic is some ways away, so I suppose I can't use it. Damn.
- Can't be helped, I'll drop it to BAB 20 or drop the BAB and add an Str requirement or something. I'm certain there are creatures which are "easy" yet don't always die in one hit. I was pretty certain at epic levels, hp blooms beyond what is normal for damage output from a single person's attack. I'll run some numbers later when I have a clearer mind, unless you get to it first.
- If absolutely needed, I don't mind removing the potential vorpal as the intended effect is "lop off limbs". -- Eiji-kun 06:34, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- After some Mibbit talk, I altered the mechanics. This one should see more use. -- Eiji-kun 09:56, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
