The Tome of Necromancy was so good. Amazingly flavorful and awesome class.

I adore this prestige class because it fits so well to an idea I recently had. It's got power, it's got immortality and it's flavour is delicious. While it doesn't do anything all that impressive to enhance your majestic magical ability, it does give a convincing possessor and allows for some pretty sweet stuff.

So much love.

Saving Throws[edit]

Whats the save DC for the consume ablility, i assume that it is the standard 10+SwtBE class levels + thier spellcasting attribute bonus

Class Requirement[edit]

I think that instead of Spontaniusly able to cast 5th level spells, it should just be to cast 5th level spells period. That way a wizard can take this class as well.

Your argument is so compelling. I give my counter argument; the prestige class is for sorcerers and warmages and gives them something to do other than be Mailman. --TK 11:01, July 14, 2010 (UTC)
Not to mention the fact that it prevents anyone from having to transport/duplicate their spellbook when they're jetting around from person to person. - TG Cid 12:34, July 14, 2010 (UTC)

Antimagic Field[edit]

What happens when a character in a possessed body or in their token enters an antimagic field? Are they shunted from their body and does their token become inert (effectively killing them), or does it not affect them? --Johnnya4344 23:51, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

Firewall of the Soul already states that a character that possesses another in an antimagic field is trapped there but otherwise unharmed. I would assume that the token is similar; they are just unable to switch bodies (from body to body, body to receptacle or vice versa) until they leave the antimagic field. - TG Cid 11:54, July 19, 2010 (UTC)
So what happens to them if they walk into an antimagic field before they get Firewall of the Soul? There's still a two level gap there. --Johnnya4344 12:21, July 20, 2010 (UTC)

Base Attack Bonus[edit]

Is this class really supposed to have full BAB? I doesn't really sound like a martial class to me... ---HarrowedMind (talk) 20:06, 15 July 2014 (UTC)

Per source material, yes, it is. I'm inclined to agree with the weirdness though, particularly in light of their later work on making BAB mean more. - Tarkisflux Talk 21:55, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
