Limb Loss in D&D[edit]

Small problem: limb loss in D&D is poorly clarified. There are basically no mechanics to do so in Core, and in homebrew it is possible but there are no universal rules. Some deal hp damage, others Con damage, and others no damage at all. It may interact weirdly with this feat. Also, it's hardly very high since it doesn't really do much to ablate penalties at all. Again, since limb loss isn't any kind of universal rule sometimes this doesn't do anything and actually adds penalties which may not exist, like bleeding damage.

Also by RAW this only works for your arms. You're out of luck if you lose a leg, or only a hand. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 18:47, 24 March 2017 (MDT)

Yeah, I noticed that, but I figured I'd write it up any just for fun. It's kind of a Monty Python reference, so the arm only was somewhat intentional, but I can tweak it to simply be the first limb. I thought that there was a Bleeding condition written somewhere, but I may be mistaken. I'll remove that part. --Halloweenman33 (talk) 20:01, 24 March 2017 (CST)
I made some changes so that it can be applied to the loss of any limb. --Halloweenman33 (talk) 20:36, 24 March 2017 (CST)
Also, I get what you mean, but the Specials work in a way that you probably don't intend, in that you can only ever gain the benefits of this feat once as written (you can only apply it to the first limb lost with no duration, and you lose all benefit if you ever get the limb back in any way). --Undead_Knave (talk) 02:48, 25 March 2017 (MDT)
