Balance Level[edit]
I think that adding half of your strength again to a single weapon is definitely better than the old weapon spec, but not quite rogue level. It's the sort of thing that would make a spirited charger marginally better but not actually different. Since this feat feels right in line with that build, which is a fighter level build, I feel that this is a fighter level feat.

- I thought it was on the fence there, high-Fighter/low-Rogue, so it doesn't make much of a difference to me and I don't see it unbalancing Fighter-level games or changing the way the game (and/or RNG) works. Will change it. --Ghostwheel 19:51, December 8, 2009 (UTC)

Well what I said before is almost completely wrong. The rating stands, though -- it's useful, simple, and fits the Moderate balance point well. |

This will almost certainly match or exceed the standard weapon specialization bonus, and has room to grow afterwards. Since the old feat was outdone by many other things in the game, this is a welcome change. It's just the same thing will bigger numbers however, and still locks people into the same weapon without providing any additional options. So while it's better than the old one, and arguably more appropriate for the balance range, it's still not that impressive. |
