Better get to mining those golems.

I'm surprised that, of all people, Eiji-Kun would make a one-handed 2d6 20/x4 weapon... One that weighs only eight pounds, to top it off... *Disapointment* Compare it to a Bastard Sword or even a Katana to get my point.

But yeah, aside from the way-too-high-damage-and-critical-for-its-encumbrance-level, this is still an interesting weapon in its design (the reduction in Hardness and Damage Reduction, for an example). That would make a fine weapon, once rebalanced (which it really needs) -HarrowedMind (talk) 18:48, 13 April 2013 (UTC)

U NO RIKE?
Alright, lesse if I can explain my thinking (though admittedly its been a while since this one). I believe I took the greatsword and translated it from 19-20/x2 to 20/x3. Then I bumped it up one, enough no longer made it martial but wasn't, IMO, worth a feat yet. So then I put in the hardness bypassing bit. However I figured it was too circumstantial (really, it's mostly for walls, or for earth elementals) so I layered on one more minor effect, bastard sword mechanics.
However, now that I think of it the bastard sword mechanics might be too much, especially via a vis the whole "two handed martial" and subsequent comparison to greatswords. I see what you mean there and I'll think I'll drop it to a two-handed exotic. It should be fine like that. If I really want, I can keep the "dwarves use it one handed" but maintain exoticness so not to invade martial's territory.
Oh, and about the weight. Greatswords are 8 lbs, which is where I stole it from, and seemed fine since the next lowest, the heavy pick, is 6 lbs. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 22:54, 13 April 2013 (UTC)
