Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Spirit Beast Tamer.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Spirit Beast Tamer is proficient with all simple weapons and light armor but no shield.

Spirit Beast: The strange creatures from beyond, The Spirit Beasts can be temporarily bound and tamed by those with the right know-how. A Spirit Beast Tamer possess the eidolon as a summoner of her class level.

Unlike a summoner, the Spirit Beasts Tamer can possess multiple. A Spirit Beast Tamer can have up to 1 + 1/3rd of her class level in eidolons. However each eidolon beyond the first give a cumulative -2 penalty to the effective summoner class level for the purpose of determining the statistic of that eidolon. A Spirit Beast Tamer may only have a single eidolon out at any time, if she summon another her previous eidolon is immediately banished.

This class feature otherwise behave just like the summoner's eidolon.

Spirit Totem: Unlike a Summoner, a Spirit Beast Tamer require a an item to summon her Spirit Beasts. This item behave as a Bonded Object except that it does not grant spell and may be any item whose base value is 200 GP or lower. If she does not have her Spirit Totem, the Spirit Beast Tamer is unable to summon her Spirit Beasts.

Unlike a normal Bonded Object, replacing a Spirit Totem has no cost but still require time.

Tamer Class: A 1st level Spirit Beast Tamer gain a single [Archetype] feat as a bonus feat. Additionally she must select a single mental ability score, this ability score become her key ability score for her Spirit Beast Tamer class features.

AC Bonus (Ex): A 2nd level Spirit Beast Tamer gain her tamer class's mental ability bonus as a luck bonus to her AC. This bonus only apply as long as she wear light or no armor, carry no more than a light load and while one or more of her Spirit Beasts are alive (even if they are not currently summoned).

Tamer Style: A 2nd level Spirit Beast Tamer must select her style from the list below. Once this choice is made it is permanent.

Dual Beast Tamer: You prefer to use two Spirit Beasts instead of one. Your Second Eidolon has no penalty to your effective Summoner level, however this does not reduce the penalty of any successive Eidolon (so 3rd still has an effective -4).

Have-It-All: You want ALL the Spirit Beasts, but every one of them suffer for it. You have a maximum amount of Spirit Beast equal to 1 + half your class level, however you count your Summoner level as 1 lower for all of your spirit beasts (minimum of 1st). So your first Spirit Beast has a -1 penalty to it summoner level, your second a -3, third -5, and etc.

Focused Tamer: You have one true Spirit Beast, which truly flower under your tutelage. Your starting Eidolon has all the benefit of a Wizard's Familiar, using your class level to determine the benefits it gets.

Tamer's Trick: At 3rd level and each odd level thereafter, the Spirit Beast Tamer learn a single Tamer's Trick from the list below:

Best Pals (Ex): You have formed an intense bond of friendship with one of your Spirit Beast. Your main spirit beast gain the Dedicated Bodyguard toward you and you gain it toward it. Neither of you need to meet the prerequisites. This Tamer's Trick may only be taken by a Focused Tamer.

Distraction (Ex): As a swift action you may attempt a Feint against a creature within 30 feet, if you are successful the creature is flat-footed against the next attack made by your Spirit Beast within 1 round.

Risky Distraction (Ex): When you use your Beauty's 3rd level ability on creature,if it was attracted physically to you it take a -2 penalty to attack roll and AC for 1 round must make a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 HD + your Charisma modifier) or become Dazed for 1 round. This Tamer's Trick require the Distraction Tamer's Trick.

Encouraging Cheers (Ex): As a move action, the Spirit Beast Tamer may provide Aid Another to her Spirit Beast at a range of 60 feet.

Encouraging Cheers, Improved (Ex): When you use Aid Another on your Spirit Beast you allow it to overcome an ongoing condition or effect which allow a saving throw, it is essentially allowed a second saving throw against the effect with your Aid Another added to it save. This ability is usable once per effect. This Tamer's Trick require the Encouraging Cheers Tamer's Trick.

Learned Fighter: You gain proficiency with a martial or exotic weapon of your choice. If the weapon is martial or if you were already proficient with it you also receive Weapon Focus as a bonus feat for it.

Intense Training: Increase the effective summoner level of one of your Spirit Beast by +2, to a maximum of your class level -1.

Quick Summon (Su): You may now summon your Spirit Beast as a 1 round action.

Snap Summon (Su): You may now summon your Spirit Beast as a standard action. This Tamer's Trick require the Quick Summon Tamer's Trick.
Moxie (Ex): You radiate confidence, as long as you are not under any [Compulsion] or [Fear]-effect your Spirit Beast are immune to them.

Potion Thrower: You gain Throw Potion as a bonus feat even if you do not meet the prerequisites. You gain a +20 bonus on attack roll made against your Spirit Beast with a potion and do not miss on a natural 1 on such "attacks".

Super-Form (Su): Choose one of your Spirit Beast, it gain the ability to enter Super-Form once per day. When in Super-Form it gain 6 evolution points worth of abilities, these evolution must always be the same and can only be changed when you level. You may select this Trick more than once, either selecting a new Spirit Beast or granting another daily use of this ability. You must be 9th level or higher to take this trick.

Special Evolution: At 4th level and above, a Spirit Beast Tamer gain access to the following Evolution for her Spirit Beasts.

Fire Beast (Ex): Your Spirit Beast gain the Fire Subtype. This ability cost 1 Evolution Point.

Ice Beast (Ex): Your Spirit Beast gain the Cold Subtype. This ability cost 1 Evolution Point.
