Becoming a Underdark Chemist[edit]

Entry Requirements  
Race: Drow or Half Drow
Skills: Bluff 9 Ranks, Craft (Alchemy) 9 Ranks. 
Feats: Bottoms Up
Spellcasting: Must be able to brew 2nd level Elixirs (like a Chemist or Very High Apothecary). 
Special: Must research Underdark Radiation for at least one month.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Underdark Chemist.

Spellcasting: At each level, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level as if you had also gained a level in a elixir brewing class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one elixir brewing class before becoming a Underdark Chemist, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining elixir per day and caster level.

Energy Infusion (Su): A 1st level Underdark Chemist understand how to infuse her potions and elixir with Underdark radiation. She may consume a potion as a standard action, rather than drinking it (overriding the effect of Bottoms Up) she release it energy in a 10 ft radius burst affecting all creature caught in it.

Additionally if she is in the Underdark, all of her potions and elixir gain a +2 bonus on their caster level.

Master of Poisons (Su): A 1st level Underdark Chemist may have any poisons she craft bypass immunity to poisons, instead a immune creature receive a +4 bonus on it saving throw against it.

Partial Class Advancement: The Underdark Chemist class gives advancement to pre-existing class features, such as sneak attack, bardic songs per day (but not bardic music known), caster level (but not spells known), and initiator level (but not new maneuvers). It does not grant new class features, nor does it grant spells per day, spells known, or similar abilities.

Spoil Potion (Ex): The Underdark Chemist of 2nd level or higher can craft her elixir and potions in such a way that it can spoil and become poisonous under certain circumstances. She may specify when she brew an elixir or craft a potion a single condition (such as being in contact with the air for a round before being consume, or even being touched by sunlight) which cause the potion to lose all of it powers and instead cause harms to the drinker. The potion essentially turn into a mundane poison which deal 1d6 poison damage per class level to the drinker as both a primary and secondary effect, with a Fortitude save (DC 10 + 1/2 Character level + Intelligence modifier) to halves the damage.

Swift Dosing (Ex): A 2nd level Underdark Chemist gain the Swift Dosing ability of a Chemist, if she already possessed this ability she may apply alchemical items as a free action once per round rather than a swift.

Dark Discovery: At 3rd level and each odd level thereafter, the Underdark Chemist gain a single discovery form the list below. If she already possessed a discovery with the same name she may not pick it. The DC of the Underdark Chemist's Dark Discovery is 10 +1/2 HD + her Intelligence modifier.

Customized Poisons: You can customize your poisons to affect only a particular type of creature. When you make a poison, choose a creature type from the list of ranger favored enemies. The poison only works against that type of creature, with a +4 bonus on the DC.

Drider Mutagen: You can create unique drow mutagen, which alter your body to become more arachnid. To make a mutagen, you must use one of your elixirs per days, with the strength of the effect depending on the slot used. At least a 3rd level slot must be used granting the Drider Template as well as the ability to climb on web and the web-making ability of a Monstrous Spider of your new size. The transformation last 1 round per level if a 3rd level slot is used, 1 minute per level for a 4th, 10 minute per level for a 5th and finally am hour per level with a 6th level slot. The Drider Mutagen only affect the underdark chemist, any others who drink it are nauseated for 1 round and sickened for its normal duration instead.

Emergency Potion: The Underdark Chemist can prepare a single, but extremely potent healing potion with 8 hours of work. She may only have one of such potion at any time, and if drank it replicate the effect of the heal spell. Additionally, if the potion is administered to a corpse of a recently slain creature (no more than 1 hour) it revive it as per raise dead no matter the type of the creature with no level loss. If this potion is administered to another creature than the Underdark Chemist it caster level is halved.

Poison Mister: As a standard action the Underdark Alchemist can project one dose of any poison in a 30 ft. line, then at the end of the line it disperse in a 20 ft. radius spread. The cloud last for 1 round before dispersing and provide cover as per obscuring mist. All creature either in the line or spread are affected by the poison as if was an inhaled poison no matter what it previous type was.

Spider Companion: You gain either a Housemiad Spider or a Medium Monstrous Spider as a an animal companion. You count your character level as your druid level for the purpose of determining the benefits granted to your spider companion.

Reversed Spoiled Potions: The Underdark Chemist may now make a potion which start in it poisonous state (see Spoil Potion above) and turn into the actual non-dangerous potion if a certain condition is met. This has the same limitation as the Spoil Potion ability.

Toxic Weaponry: The Underdark Chemist make any weapon she wield gain the Toxic enhancement. She may suppress or resume this ability as a free action.

Web Bomb: The Underdark Chemist may throw a special bomb as a standard action, it deal no damage but cover all surfaces in a 40 ft radius burst in non-flammable spider web. The web act as the web spell except that it cannot be burned. Alternatively the Underdark Alchemist may make the web harmless, doing so allow any creature to move on the web as if they were under the effect of spider climb spell.

Transmute Potion (Su): The Underdark Chemist of 4th level or higher is an expert at using stored Underdark Radiation to salvage and change her potions. As a full-round action she may combine, divide or change a potion to make one or more new potion of the same value in gold. By example she could turn a potion worth 500 gp into five potions worth 100 gp, combine two potions worth 300 gp to make one worth 600 gp or simply change a 250 gp potion into another of the same value.

This ability also allow you to covert an elixir prepared into an another elixir in your formula book of the same level.

She may use this ability a number of time per day equal to her Intelligence modifier outside of the Underdark and at will within the Underdark.

Nondetection (Su): A 5th level Underdark Chemist absorbed so much Underdark Radiation that she is constantly under the effect of nondetection with a caster level equal to your character level. Additionally she now totally immune to detect thoughts or other detection spell foiled by lead.

Bright Light Vision (Ex): A 6th level Underdark Chemist used her in-depth alchemical knowledge to rid herself from her daylight blindness and gain Bright-light Vision.

Divination Resistance (Ex): A 8th level Underdark Chemist gain an additional bonus on saving throw against all divination-effects equal to half her class level. I she is targeted by a divination effect which offer no save she is allowed a Will save to negate it.

Absorb Radiation (Ex): A 9th level Underdark Chemist gain Fast healing 5 while within the Underdark as her body has learned to absorb the Underdark Radiation.
