The Sword of the Firelord is a strange +1 Flaming Greatsword that is currently possessed by a dangerous evil elemental spirit. As a full-round action the wielder of the sword can summon a Fiendish Medium Fire Elemental with a number of HDs equal to the wielder's character level. If the elemental is slain it cannot be re-summoned for 24 hours.

Unlike other magic weapons, the Sword of the Firelord is actually capable of changing vessel. With a 1 hour ritual, the current 'master' of the sword may force it to move into another masterwork non-magical weapon, granting all of the sword's magical ability to the other weapon. This may be done even if the Sword of the Firelord is broken or destroyed.
The Sword of the Firelord is a unique item that cannot be replicated, but is not an artifact and thus may be destroyed or enhanced further as normal.
