Variant Vorpal

A vorpal weapon can slay a creature in an instant, if it weak enough. Whenever you successfully strike a creature with a vorpal weapon, if it has less than 75 hit points before or after you deal damage it is instantly slain as you perform a mortal blow (such as decapitation, pierce the heart, etc). A creature slain by a vorpal weapon has it body considered too damaged for being brought back from the dead through raise dead.

Unlike the SRD version, this version does not rely on decapitation to kill and thus work on any corporeal creature.

Strong necromancy and transmutation; CL 18th; Craft Magical Arms and Armor, circle of death, keen edge; Price: +5.
