Lightning PoweredEdit

Creatures powered by electricity itself, they can be natural born or created like some manner of Frankenstien monster.

Creating a Lightning Powered CreatureEdit

This is usually an inherited template which can be added to any corporeal creature. However there may be rare events where it is acquired, such as being the result of strange cybernetics.

Size and TypeEdit

If the creature was a living creature, it becomes an Aberration. Animals instead become Magical Beasts. Constructs and Undead retain their type. No not change BAB, saves, or skill points.

SpeedEdit

All of the creature's movement modes increase by +10 feet.

Armor ClassEdit

The creature gains a +1 dodge bonus to AC. This stacks with other dodge bonuses.

Special AttacksEdit

Electrified (Su): All of the creature's natural attacks and attacks with metallic manufactured weapons deal an additional +1d6 electric damage. Any electric spells or effects which deal electrical damage also gain this bonus.

Volt Touch (Su): As a standard action, the creature can make a touch attack which deals 1d4 points of electrical damage/level. This ability cannot be used to self-heal via Absorb Electricity.

Special QualitiesEdit

Absorb Electricity (Ex): Lightning powered creatures are not merely immune to electricity, but absorb it. For every 3 points of damage the electricity would have done, the lightning powered creature heals 1 hp. However if the lightning powered creature would recover more hp via this method than its maximum hit points, it becomes staggered for 1 round from the electrical overload.

If the creature needs to eat, recovering 5 hp of energy counts as a full meal (regardless if they are staggered or not).

Lightning Rod (Ex): A lightning powered creature can choose to re-direct any electrical attack or effect within their reach to themselves as a non-action. This protects other creatures within your reach from the electrical damage, such as a lightning bolt spell that passes through your area, or a Shocking Longsword attack. Non-electrical based damage still goes through normally.

AbilitiesEdit

+4 Dex and +2 to any other ability score.

Challenge RatingEdit

+1
