This is very meh, especially in comparison to Improved Toughness.

Balance

Okay, the balance is not for a monk like class, but according to the wikki guidelines that I seen, this is the lowest level balance, and this feat should be extraordinarily easy to put in. I put this in with my game group, and we've had no problems with it. -- Dukelzan

The balance is fine with me. For the most part the gain is only +1 per level average, +2 if you're doing max hp and not rolled. It's like Improved Toughness, but stacks with Imp. Toughness. And while it's nice, Imp. Toughness is still pretty monk level, maybe fighter at best. -- Eiji Hyrule 23:22, August 20, 2010 (UTC)
It was set up for if you use max hit points or if you roll the die. My game group has you roll the die, but you can't take less then 1/2 the die (i.e. you need at least a 3 on a D6). The idea is to increase the possible maximum to the character’s HP. -- Dukelzan

Can Undead take this?

Under a strict reading of the rules, any creature can take it, but it only applies to classes, which racial levels are not. So it'll help undead with class levels, but not the majority of them. Of course, there's no reason to not allow this to work with racial levels.
