Origin[edit]

Letoism was created by Elves of old, worshiping the sun itself, and their prayer's were answer when a hoard of undead attacked the village that this small cult was houses in, and the sun light broke through the cloudy day and incinerated the undead into ashes. It was then the leader of the cult gave their god its name, Leto and they found his shining rays to always guide their cult into become a full on religion.

Description[edit]

Leto is the sun itself, a he is a god who can be kind one minute and cruel the next, giving either warm rays to warm your soul or rays that will incinerate your wicked heart. To follow Leto is to follow the sun itself. He has sometimes been described in dreams as an Elven Warrior clad in flaming gold armor wielding a long sword.

Dogma[edit]

The orders of Leto are simple, be a good person and never allow yourself to fall into darkness. What the followers do is up to them. Most followers become healers to aid the sick and wounded, some dedicate their lives to wiping out the undead. And some take the creed to lighting the darkness literally, and guide travelers through the night. Leto is a god who does not as for much, he only desires his followers to be happy within the light, and their choices so long as they not actively harm others are always welcome within his guiding light.

Clergy and Temples[edit]

Temples of Leto are very common in hot places, Deserts near Elven homelands are full of many ornate temples dedicated to the Sun god, outside of the Desert smaller temples crop up. Despite being an Elven religion, all races and creeds are welcome into Letoism. Leto shares his light with all, however one exception is made, Drow are not welcome, but if they swear to cast off the darkness of their kind Drow can be allowed into the order of Letoism, however this is extemely rare. Many people choose Leto because he does not ask for much in his followers, and is merciful if they make a mistake in life.
