Channel

Some spells can be channeled for greater effects, increasing the action required to cast it. There are two types of channeling, greater and lesser channeling. The only difference between the two (except the effect as described in the spell) is how they affect casting time (as seen below).

Table: Channeling
Lesser Channeling
Original Action Modified Action
Immediate Swift
Swift Move
Move Standard
Standard Full-Round
Full-Round 1 Round
1 Round 2 Rounds
2 Rounds 3 Rounds
3 Rounds 4 Rounds
X Rounds X+1 Rounds
X Minute X+1 Minute
X Hours X+1 Hours
Greater Channeling
Original Action Modified Action
Free Swift
Immediate Move
Swift Standard
Move Full-Round
Standard 1 Round
Full-Round 5 Round
1 Round 1 Minute
2 Rounds 2 Minutes
3 Rounds 3 Minutes
X Rounds X Minutes
X Minutes X Hours
X Hours X Days

It is possible to channel a spell many times; apply lesser channeling first, then the modified action after each channeling becomes the new original action.

For example, a spell whose original casting time is an immediate action is channeled twice (1 lesser, 1 greater). The casting time increase to swift, then to standard action.
