Maybe too good[edit]

Suggest it's 1/2 damage instead of one die lower (which is how I interpret this compared to, say, Bloodline Warlock). Part of that is the reliability, and part is that is steps on the toes of the (admittedly overvalued) Greater Shape Eldritch Cone. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 15:16, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

Agreed, it also feels like a more scattered damage output, as the fragmentation effect seems to imply.--The bluez in the dungeon (talk) 22:45, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
"d4s or down one down size whichever is less" is an absurd way to write that. I generally don't think changing die sizes is a good or balanced way to address things, but the idea that you are worried about people who have d4s taking this and keeping d4s, so you need to nerf them to d2s is really weird. Even weirder is that you want this to nerf someone with d6s to d4s but also someone with d8s to d4s. Kaelik (talk) 11:56, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
Eiji suggested damage to be 1/2 xd6 instead of reducing it to xd4, as it is now. --The bluez in the dungeon (talk) 16:11, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
