This spell functions as the targeted version of dispel magic, except that successfully disrupting an effect causes the power to explode, dealing a number of d6 typeless damage equal to the spell level of the disrupted spell in an area with a radius of 5' per spell level of the disrupted spell (so a disrupted fireball would deal 3d6 of damage in a 15' radius area, and a disrupted wish would deal 9d6 damage in a 45' radius area).
Additionally, a peculiarity of the spell's formula makes it slightly more efficient at counterspelling; counterspell attempts with destructive disruption gain a +1 competence bonus.
