Dragonstring Silk
A flexible and incredibly durable fabric, dragonstring silk is a highly sought of material for clothes and fabric armor. The creation of dragonstring silk is a mitahnese secret, but it is said to include silk secreted by the ‘dragon orb spider' which is then alchemically treated. Any items made of dragonstring silk has it weight reduced by half.
It is possible to make fabric weapons, such as the sap or the whip out of dragonstring silk. These weapons behave as normal for their kind, except that they benefit from the material's greater hit point and hardness.
The optimal usage of dragonstring silk is fabric for armor and clothes. Any armor that is made of fabric (such as padded armor) can be made of dragonstring silk, increasing its AC Bonus by +1 and its Max Dexterity by +1. If made out of dragonstring silk, clothes and robes grants a +1 armor bonus to AC.
Dragonstring silk has 9 hit points per inch of thickness and hardness 10. It takes half damage from fire, piercing and slashing damage and is immune to acid and cold. Weapons and armor made from it are always of masterwork quality; the masterwork cost is included in the prices given below.
