Terraforming, epic mage style.

The ground rumbles, and a terrible groan emits from the earth. As all the animals within miles flee in panic, you witness the ground split upon, and the earth began to bleed lava...

This spell creates a volcano upon the selected spot, which manifests upon the surface within 10 minutes of casting. The initial eruption quickly spouts molten rock everywhere, building with great intensity. For the next 1d10 days afterward any creature within the 200 ft. area of the volcano takes 10d6 fire damage every round spent inside, and the ground is difficult terrain. Rapidly exploding, cooling, and repeating far faster than normal, at the end of the 1d10 day duration the volcano has grown to 200 ft. tall, filling its space and remaining a natural part of the environment.

Every month at random, the volcano will erupt again for 1d10 days and grow another 200 ft. during the process. This continues on for a whole year, reaching a maximum height of 2400 cu. ft. before the volcano goes dorment.

Casting this spell again on the same location will cause the dorment volcano to go after, and eventually add another 2400 cu. ft. to its size.

Focus: Obsidian carved into an rod, marked with the names of gods of earth, fire, and forge, with a value of 1,000,000g.
