Additional Surge Type[edit]

This page presents additional Surge type for the Pathfinder Wilder. They are meant to be roughly equal in power with the Student Surge.

Explosive Surge[edit]

Wild Surge and Psychic Enervation: An explosive wilder possesses some of the most chaotic energy within herself, not only at risk of exploding but eager to do so. If an explosive wilder suffers from psychic enervation, she increases her manifester level by an additional +2 for the power that resulted in her enervation and the power’s DC increases by +2. When an explosive wilder is overcome by psychic enervation she become dazed for 1 round and loses a number of power points equal to twice her normal manifester level (the increase in manifester level from her wild surge does not increase the number of power point lost).

Surge Bond The explosive wilder gain the Enervation Explosion feat as a bonus feat.

Improved Surge Bond: After an explosive enervation, the explosive wilder is protected by her shield of her own psychic energy. At 5th level whenever the explosive wilder is overcome by psychic enervation, she gains an amount of temporary hit point equal to the power point loss she suffered as well as a +2 deflection bonus to AC. These temporary hit points last 1 minute and do not stack with themselves and are always lost first even before other temporary hit points. The wilder loses her deflection bonus to AC granted by this ability as soon as those temporary hits are depleted or vanishes. At 9th level and each 4 levels thereafter, the explosive wilder her deflection bonus to AC increases by +1.

Heightened Surge[edit]

Wild Surge and Psychic Enervation: A heightened wilder embraces the heightened state of mind that is produced by free and powerful emotions, their control over their emotion allows them much more efficiency at using their powers. However she sometimes can push too far and be lost to the moment and letting her psionic energy waste. A heightened wilder overcome by psychic enervation become Dazed until the start of her next turn and loses a number of power points equal to her normal manifester level (the increase in manifester level from her wild surge does not increase the number of power points lost).

Surge Bond The Heightened Wilder gain Accelerated Progression as a bonus feat.

Improved Surge Bond: An heightened wilder is capable of retaining some of the energy she spend, at a higher risk. Beginning at 5th level when she Wild Surge, she may increase the risk of Psychic Enervation by 5% to reduce the cost of manifesting the power by 2 (to a minimum of 0). This ability does not allow you to augment a power more than you would normally be able to augment it, it simply reduces the final consumption of power points. This stack with similar abilities, such as a Torc of Power Preservation.

At 9th level and each four levels thereafter, she may reduce the cost of the power by an additional 1 point by increasing the chance of psychic enervation by an additional 5%. This all cumulative to a maximum of 5 power point reduction at 17th level, for an additional 20% chance of psychic enervation.

Racing Surge[edit]

Wild Surge and Psychic Enervation: A racing wilder draws upon the power of speed, the feeling of deja vu only found in the most fast-paced of races. A racing wilder gains a +10 bonus to her speed per point of Wild Surge bonus in addition to its normal bonus, this increase in speed lasts until the end of her next turn. However she may only use her Wild Surge if she moved at least 20 feet during her current turn. If a racing wilder is overcome by psychic enervation she become sickened for 1 round, her speed is reduced by half and loses a number of power points equal to her normal manifester level (the increase in manifester level from her wild surge does not increase the number of power points lost).

Surge Bond A racing wilder gain the Run as a bonus and may attempt to regain her psionic focus as part of taking a Run action. If the wilder already benefits from the Run feat she increased her run multiplier by 1.

Improved Surge Bond: At 5th level and each 4 levels thereafter, a racing wilder's land speed increases by 10 feet.
