This spell functions as Obscuring Mist, except where noted here.

When you cast this spell, you use a potion, oil, or alchemical item as a material component.

Material components with an instant effect - Such as Potions of Cure Light Wounds, a poison, or Alchemist's Fire - Apply their effect to all targets in the cloud's radius, every round, but only at half strength - Meaning Alchemist's Fire would only deal 1d3 Fire damage each round, and so forth.

Material components with an effect that has a duration - Such as a Potion of Bull's Strength - Grant their effect to all targets within the cloud, for as long as they remain within the cloud, plus for 1 round after they leave the cloud's area or the cloud's duration ends.

In either case, targets are allowed a normal saving throw against the effect using the usual DC or the spell's, whichever is higher. Effects that don't usually allow a save - Such as Alchemist's Fire - Allow a Fort save each round for half damage or to ignore the status effect for 1 round, using this spell's DC.

Material Component: The potion, oil or alchemical item to be turned into the fog.
