Bond with a Primal Beast

A Beast Master forms a mystical bond with a special animal, drawing on primal magic and a deep connection to the natural world.

Primal Companion

3rd level Beast Master feature.
Unofficial Summary: You summon a Primal Beast as a companion. It is friendly and obeys your commands.

  • The Beast in Combat. It moves and uses its Reaction by itself, but only takes the Dodge action without direction. The Ranger can uses its Bonus Action to command the beast to make any of its actions on its stat block. In addition, the Ranger can forego one of its attacks to have the beast take the Beast's Stike action.
  • Restoring or Replacing the Beast. The Ranger can use a Magic action to restore the primal beast to full Hit Points if it has dies in the last hour.

The ranger can summon a different primal beast at the end of a Long Rest.

Exceptional Training

7th level Beast Master feature.
Unofficial Summary: As part of your Bonus Action to command your Primal Companion to take an actionn, you can command it to also Dash, Disengage, Dodge, or Help using the beast's Bonus Action. In addition the primal beast can deal Force damage or normal damage. 

Bestial Fury

11th level Beast Master feature.
Unofficial Summary: The Primal Companion can use its Beast's Strike twice. It also does extra damage to creatures under your Hunter's Mark

Share Spells

15th level Beast Master feature.
When you cast a spell on yourself, it can also affect your Primal Companion (within a certain range). 5e24
