By the blessing of the Blacksun, may these arrows strike true.

You bestow the blessing of the Blacksun, turning ordinary arrows into extremely deadly Blacksun Arrows. This spell can be used in two ways, to permanently bless 10 mundane arrows (or other ammunition such as bolts and stones) or to temporarily bless a bow (or another missile weapon such as a crossbow or a sling).

Blacksun Arrows deal an additional 1d10 damage and deal exclusively magical damage. Blacksun Arrows have a +1 enhancement bonus per four caster levels (maximum +10) on attack and damage rolls (much like greater magic weapon). Additionally, it counts as having the bane property against all creatures weak to sunlight, such as bodaks, wraiths, and vampires. Note that this bonus applies only to creatures outright destroyed or damaged by sunlight or rendered helpless; creatures dazzled by sunlight, such as drow, are affected by the arrows normally.

A blessed bow will turn every arrow it fires into blacksun arrows.

If the caster is blessing arrows, the effect is permanent. If the caster is blessing a bow, it will last for 1 hour/caster level.

Material Component: Fine silk wrapped around the arrows during the casting, worth 200 gp. (arrow version only)

Focus: 10 mundane ammunition or 1 missile weapon.
