A mad chorus of tiny yips fills the air as you look down at probably the cutest multi-headed creature ever. Three pink tongues try to lick your hand all at once, sniffing for food. Occasionally one of the heads burps out a little puff of sulfurous smoke.
A cerberus puppy looks about like you'd expect: tiny puppy cuteness, but with two additional heads.
Combat[edit]
Cerberus puppies engage in play-fights, and occasionally may bite hard enough to puncture the skin, or burn someone enough to raise a blister, but they aren't a serious threat to anything bigger than another tiny animal.
Cute (Ex): Non-evil creatures attacking a cerberus puppy take a -2 penalty to their attack and damage rolls due to the inherent puppy cuteness.
Firepuff (Su): as a standard action, one or more of the heads can belch a tiny lick of flame and smoke, dealing 1d2 fire damage into up to three adjacent squares (one for each head emitting a firepuff), with a DC 11 Reflex save negating the damage. Regardless of how many heads emit the firepuff, the cerberus puppy can only use this ability every 1d4 rounds.
Shred (Ex): All puppies tend to be exuberantly destructive, and the cerberus puppy's fiendish nature makes it slightly more so. If left unsupervised, a cerberus puppy will attempt to destroy any unattended object within it's reach. Their energetic and determined jaws reduce an object's hardness by -1 for every minute they attempt to shred it, to a maximum of -4.
Singe (Ex): A cerberus puppy's breath is hot, especially when excited and play-fighting. A cerberus puppy deals 1 point of nonlethal heat damage along with it's bite.
Skills: A cerberus puppy's 3 heads give it a +4 racial bonus on spot and listen checks.
Cerberus puppies can be bought in certain markets and usually fetch about 800 gp each. Sadly they are too excitable to make good familiars.
