Flash Bomb[edit]

A small metallic orb with two crossing, inlaid lines, separating the outer orb into 8 pieces. When the orb strikes a surface, the lines glow bright blue for fractions of a second before it explodes in blinding light.

You can throw this bomb as a ranged touch attack with a range increment of 20 feet. When it strikes a hard surface (or is struck hard), it creates a blinding light that is treated as a 1st level light spell (and is subject to being cancelled out by darkness spells). Each creature within a 10-foot-radius spread must make a DC 15 Reflex save or be blinded for 1 round and dazzled for 1 hour. Even on a successful save, the dazzle condition is applied, but only for half the duration.

Since you don’t need to hit a specific target, you can simply aim at a particular 5-foot square. Treat the target square as AC 5.

Cost: 50 gp.

Crafting: Flash bombs can be made using Craft (Alchemy) DC 15
