Fungus Type[edit]

Fungus and plants in the real world belong to two different kingdoms and are very different. This aims to give fungus creatures their own unique features. Fungus creatures are fungi monsters and mold creatures for the purposes of this article.


Features[edit]

A Fungus creature has the following features unless otherwise noted.

Traits[edit]

A Fungus creature possesses the following traits (unless otherwise noted in a creature’s entry).

  • Low-light vision and Darkvision, darkvision for fungus creatures is half of their regular vision and low light vision.
  • Immunity to all mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects).
  • Immunity to poison, disease, sleep effects, paralysis, polymorph, magic that specifically affects plant type creatures or plants and stunning.
  • Not subject to critical hits.
  • Proficient with its natural weapons only.
  • Proficient with no armor.
  • Fungus creatures breathe and eat, but do not sleep.
  • If subject to certain light spells such as sunbeam, sunburst, etc they take damage just as if they were undead creatures.
  • Survival is always a class skill for fungus creatures even if mindless, if mindless they have half their hit dice as survival ranks.
  • +4 bonus on checks to avoid drowning
