The four youthful wizards gathered around the table for an evening of stories and drinks. Morzimer, a bit tipsy, downed his ale while his comrades snickered. To his surprise, he sprouted a horn like a unicorn's from his head moments later, flipping his hat off his head. Unable to contain themselves, his comrades fell to the floor with laughter. Morzimer knew he'd get them back later.
This simple concoction, often brewed up by novice spellcasters as practice, causes the drinker to sprout horns from his head. The horns last for 24 hours and then vanish. Drinking another draught of horn juice during that duration causes them to become permanent (and nonmagical).
A drinker who already has horns finds that his horns are fixed up and repaired of any damage.
The types of horns the drinker may gain vary wildly and are determined by the drinker, though the biggest horns max out at 1 foot long.
The juice doesn't grant any sort of proficiency or natural attack with these horns. As per normal, a creature may use any part of his body as an "unarmed" attack, and these horns are no exception, dealing damage appropriate to their horn function. Ram's horns may deal bludgeoning damage while a stag's antlers may deal piercing damage.
Properly brewed, it has the color of honey and a pleasant sweet taste.
Prerequisites: Brew Potion, any 0-level or higher transmutation spell.
