Human Champion

Human Champion

We may not be the best, but we certainly strive for who we are!

Prerequisite: Human 

Warriors of their kind, they strive for survival in any way they can-- even if bloodshed is necessary. If you wish to survive for all of humanity or if you are willing to sacrifice yourself for the good of mankind, you are a champion of your kind. You make due with all the goodness that you have acquired and you enter a state of open-mindedness. The knowledge of the worlds seems as if they were a glimpse of your past, and you look beyond the future—you look at the fate of humanity. Your decision lies beyond the threshold of fate—will you defend mankind and bring it to a valiant end, or will you see its downfall in the darkness of the threshold? As a champion, you are a defender, and what you choose to do is your path till the very end.

Human Champion Path Features[edit]

Aura of Humanity (11th level): All adjacent allies gain a +1 bonus to all defenses. If any adjacent allies are human, this value increases to +2.
Bloodied Champion (11th level): When you first become bloodied in an encounter, you gain Resistance to all damage equal to your Constitution modifier until the end of the encounter.
Champion's Action (11th level): When you spend an action point to take another action, you gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls to your next attack. If you are bloodied, this bonus increases to +5.
Champion of Humanity (16th level): After each extended rest, you have 2 action points instead of 1.


Human Champion Path Powers

Champion's Strike
Human Champion Attack 11
You slam your weapon upon your enemy—leaving the mark of your wrath upon your foe.
Encounter ✦ Weapon
Standard Action Melee 1
Target: One creature
Attack: Strength vs. Armor Class
Hit: 3[W] + Strength modifier damage, and the target is marked (save ends).
Effect: As long as the target is marked, the target suffers a -2 penalty to attack rolls against creatures other than you. If the target does attack a creature that doesn’t include you as a target, you can make a melee basic attack as an immediate interrupt.

Despair is never an option for you.
Daily ✦ Healing
Immediate Reaction Personal
Trigger: You fail a saving throw and you are not dying
Effect: You reroll the saving throw with a +4 bonus. In addition, you can spend a healing surge.

Victorious Strike
Human Champion Attack 20
You slash your way through the pack and you approach a particular enemy—smiting it with the strength of all mankind.
Daily ✦ Weapon
Standard Action Close Burst 4
Target: Each creature in burst that you can see
Attack: Strength vs. Reflex
Hit: 2[W] + Strength modifier damage, and the target takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls (save ends).
Miss: Half damage and the target takes a -1 penalty to attack rolls (save ends).
Effect: You shift to a space adjacent to the last target that you hit or miss with this power and you can use an expended encounter power upon that target.
