Lubium[edit]

A remarkable discovery of the magical students of the Polybius Academy. This strange crystal is incredibly slippery to the touch, which limits it uses. Lubium behaves as Mundane Crystal, except all armors, weapons or other items made from lubium are constantly under the effects of grease which cannot be dispelled. However, the properties of lubium are suppressed under an antimagic field.

While not very useful for weapons, lubium finds great use as a material for armor. Sadly, a layer of protective alchemical coating must be applied on the inside, greatly increasing its cost. If the wearer of a lubium armor falls prone, it moves 10 feet in a random direction, which provokes as normal for movement. If the wearer was under momentum of any kind, or on uneven ground, or similar phenomena, it moves according to the logic of the situation instead of a randomly determined direction.

Lubium has 25 hit points per inch of thickness and hardness 8.

Type of Lubium Item Item Cost Modifier
Ammunition +10 gp
Armor +8,000 gp
Shield +150 gp
Weapon +250 gp
Other Items +10 gp/lb
