You choose a foe within 80 feet and make a ranged attack on them. If the invocation hits them the target must make a fortitude save or take 1d3 constitution damage each round for a number of rounds equal to your caster level. In addition the target takes 3d6 damage each round from the maggots attacking the target's body. A successful save prevents constitution damage but not the physical damage of the maggots.
