Mephit Overview   

  

Mephits are capricious, imp-like creatures native to the

elemental planes. They come in six varieties, each one

representing the mixture of two elements.

Mephits are minor creatures from the elemental planes. All mephits appear as small, winged creatures with more or less humanoid features. While they are often described as impish, their elemental origins are apparent at first glance.

  

They were not native to the Prime Material Plane, as they were somewhat linked to various elemental or quasi-elemental planes of existence. Mephits were roughly humanoid in appearance and somewhat small; approximately 4 feet (1.2 meters) in height. Their disposition depended on their plane of origin, though they were rarely endearing. Each type of mephit had some form of breath weapon, which could usually do minor elemental damage, though it was mostly intended to ward off would-be attackers.

Variant: Mephit Summoning

Some mephits have an action, usable 1/Day, that has a chance of summoning 1-4 additional mephits.
