For years, I have been treating the Hulk like he's some kind of disease, something to get rid of. But then I start looking at him as a cure.

Path of the Split Soul[edit]

Whether through an alchemical accident, a magical or divine curse, or a natural fluke; your body is split between two types of entities. One of them being savage and primal, the other being sophisticated and modern. Barbarians of this path use this to their advantage. Using their normal, calm side for interacting with modern society; and saving their strange, angry side for terrifying combat. Most races who choose this archetype are Orogs who are especially gifted in intelligence, and also have a more fiercer rage than their kin. Though sometimes it is adopted by humans who want to create a super soldier who excels in and out of war. It can also be Tieflings who have a stronger Infernal heritage than most, and in turn have the power and shrewdness of their devil ancestors.

Monstrous Awakening[edit]

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, the nature of your rage changes. While raging you gain the following benefits:

  • Your unarmed strike damage die becomes a d8, and can it can deal bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage. You choose this type of damage when you gain this feature. It counts as magical for overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
  • If you are smaller than Large, you become Large, along with anything you are wearing. If you lack the room to become Large, your size doesn't change. Your reach increases by 10 feet.
  • You now count as a monstrosity when determining your creature type.

Civil Disguise[edit]

When you gain this archetype at 3rd level, you learn to improve your civil skills. You gain the following benefits:

  • You learn 2 languages of your choice.
  • You gain proficiency in your choice of 2 of the following skills: Deception, Insight, Performance, and Persuasion.
  • You gain proficiency in any 2 tools of your choice.

Mindless Rage[edit]

Beginning at 6th level, your monstrous form becomes even more deranged. You can't be charmed or frightened while raging. If you are charmed or frightened when you enter your rage, the effect is suspended for the duration of the rage.

Intellectual Improvement[edit]

Starting at 10th level, you have fully honed the intellect of your calmer side. You gain the following benefits:

  • You learn 2 additional languages of your choice.
  • You gain expertise in the 2 skills and 2 tools you chose at 3rd level for your Civil disguise feature.

Hulking Form[edit]

Upon reaching 14th level, your Monstrous Awakening feature achieves its full potential. While raging, you gain the following benefits:

  • You gain a +2 to AC
  • You gain a +2 to your Rage Damage
  • Your walking speed increases by 10 feet.
