Relieve Strain

Power Points:	1 (Not applicable, intended for Strain-Based Psionics (3.5e Variant Rule).)

A soothing mental susurrus fills the mind of your target as dissonant, throbbing mental agony burdens your own. Way to take one for the team.

This power allows a psychic character to relieve the mental burdens of another creature, reducing the target's current Strain for an amount up to the psychic's character level (note: not manifester level!), and increasing their own strain by this same amount.

For example, if Brainologica the level 8 psion used this power on Wizardface the level 9 wizard when Wizardface had accrued 7 strain, Brainologica would reduce Wizardface's strain to 0 while increasing her own strain to 7. Keen.

If a creature wants to keep their strain for whatever bizarre reason, they are entitled to a will save and spell/power resistance to desperately cling to their reduced capacity to do their thing. A character with this power can technically use it on herself. It does what can be charitably referred to as "nothing."
