A ring made of gold and electrum, and engraved with a thin crystal band. The crystal changes color according to the spell school linked to the ring.
At the creation of the ring, choose 1 spell from your spell list that has a somatic component. The spell data (but not the spell) is embedded in the ring. Once per day, when you cast the spell using a somatic component and with the hand that carries this ring, you can sacrifice a level 1 spell slot to alter the spell (it's a free action) just before casting it. Choose and apply 1 of the following effects :
♦ You can cast the spell by decreasing the spell level by 1 (minimum level 1). The DC and the spell slot are then also decreased by 1.
♦ Your caster level count as +1 for purpose of the effect of the spell.
♦ Your caster level count as +1 for purpose of the duration of the spell.
♦ Your caster level count as +1 for purpose of the range of the spell.
♦ Your caster level count as -2 for purpose of the duration, range, and effect of the spell, but you gain HP equal to twice the level of the spell.
♦ The spell gain +2 to penetrate the magical resistance.
Note: You cannot combine a metamagic feat with this ring.
Prerequisites: Forge Ring, Limited Wish, a chosen spell with a somatic component.
