Seduction (Cha)[edit]

You use your sensuality and your physical assets to convince and persuade others. Investing points in this skill will allow you to refine your seduction techniques and be more convincing during your approaches.

Check[edit]

This skill allows you to change the attitude of a creature you meet, obtain some favor, fascinate it, distract a creature or a crowd, parading, or claiming cheers from a crowd.

Change attitude[edit]

Seduction is normally used against a creature whose race is similar to you (or very close), and whose sex is opposite to yours. But the sexual orientations and the affinities between the different races can vary the impact that your seduction will cause. The DM can vary the necessary DC depending on the characteristics of each of the creatures involved. The DC of seduction is equal to 10 + 1/2 HD of the targeted creature + the target's Wisdom modifier. You can see below the seduction DC modifiers.

Seduction DC modifier Interaction
-10 Try to seduce a creature helpful toward you.
-5 Try to seduce a creature friendly toward you.
+0 Try to seduce a creature of the same race as you.
+5 Try to seduce a creature of a different race than you.
+10 Try to seduce a creature unfriendly toward you.
+10 Try to seduce a creature with a gender that is not attracted by you.
+15 Try to seduce a creature in a stressful moment.
+20 Try to seduce a creature hostile toward you.
Obtain Favors[edit]

You can call on your contacts to glean important information without wasting time and get into trouble associated with the Gather Information skill. Favors can be used to procure equipment and materials from influential people you know. The base DC is the same as required for Gather Information, plus a DC addition depending on the nature of the favor. The DC addition is from +5 for a simple request to +20 for a dangerous, expensive or illegal request. If the seduction test fails, the character may eventually be in more trouble than usual, at the DM's will, and his imagination.

Seduce, Fascinate, and Distract[edit]

You can use seduction to temporary Fascinate a creature (within 20 feet of you) and who can see and hear you. The targeted creature must be roll a Sense Motive check to avoid being Fascinated by your seduction. You can also use seduction to fascinate and distract a crowd. And in this aim, the DC of the seduction skill is increased by +1 for every 2 creatures in the crowd (in addition of the Sense Motive check of the crowd). For example, a crowd of 24 creatures increase the DC of seduction by +12.

Parading and Claiming Cheers[edit]

While you are in a situation when a crowd spectate you (and your team) performing a dance, singing, playing of a musical instrument, exhibiting a martial art, fighting in a duel, or to battling in an arena, you can use seduction skill for parading in front of the crowd and claiming cheers or applause from the people of the crowd. The DM must roll a general Sense Motive for the crowd (or a part of the crowd if the crowd is to big for a single check). Parading of claiming cheers from the crowd take at least a full round, and if it is used in a stressful situation, the DC is increased by +20. After you use Seduction for this parading or claiming cheers (and you success), the ambiance in the crowd become warmer for 1 minute per 2 point above the DC.

Action[edit]

Changing the attitude of a creature with Seduction takes 3 rounds during which the creature is focused on you. It is possible for you to take more than 3 rounds to seduce a creature and thus further improve your chances of success, but too long a seduction can remove any effect from your roll.

Try Again[edit]

Rarely. Indeed, it is recommended not to abuse this kind of skill, the line between seduction and protitution is sometimes thin in the minds of some creatures. Abuse of his seductive game can lead to embarrassing situations, misunderstandings, and in some cases can be taken for provocation.

Synergy[edit]

If you have 5 ranks in Seduction, you gain a Bonus of +2 in Bluff, Sense Motive, and Gather Information.

If you have 5 ranks in Seduction, you gain a Bonus of +2 in Perform (Danse) to perform an erotic danse.

Special[edit]

This skill can be used untrained.

Charisma Based Classes (such as Bard or Sorcerer) can treat Seduction as class skill.

Frequently using your seduction may affect your alignment or reputation, at the DM's discretion.
