Seiza[edit]

Seiza uses the Functional Weapons of Legacy variant rule.

A beautiful ornate spear that seems to reflect the heavens

Seiza acts as Large +1 holy platinum Aeroversatile spear . There are five rituals that are performed, they must be performed in order (the 2nd ritual must be completed before you start the 3rd, even if you achieve the 3rd level pre-requisites). Rituals cost gold (in the form of feeding the blade raw materials) and xp, with an additional pre-requisite. Once the 1st level ritual is unlocked, the weapon displays its omen effect. You can take time out and spend 8 hours bringing the weapon to the next level once you have the pre-requisites.

Seiza is a unique magic item, on its way to becoming an artifact. While it has a price, it cannot be completely destroyed. If reduced to 0 hp, it instead falls inert in a broken condition, and unable to be used until repaired, but is not destroyed as items usually are. It is treated as an artifact against the effects of mage's disjunction.

Omen: When wielded the blade reflects constellations perfectly even in broad daylight

1st Ritual (Awaken Celestial Favor)[edit]

Light as a feather: Seiza's weight becomes 1 lb as if supported by the heavens.

Lucky Hit: 1/day you may reroll a melee attack roll.

Pre-Requisites: BAB +3 or 22 Charisma. Must throw Seiza high into the sky straight above you and close your eyes until it hits the ground. Seiza will always miss good characters, hit neutral characters 50% of the time, and always hit evil characters (the ritual is complete regardless of if it hits you or not)

Cost: 2000 gp, 80 xp

2nd Ritual (Angel's Grace)[edit]

Light's Edge: Seiza's critical hit range is 16-20. This does not stack with any other method of increasing critical hit range.

Blessed Hit: You may use Lucky Hit 3/day and 1/day you may roll two melee combat rolls and pick which result to use.

Pre-Requisites: BAB +6 . You must mediate peace between quarreling foes without the use of violence.

Cost: 8500 gp, 320 xp

3rd Ritual (Heaven's Ear)[edit]

True Focus: 3/day While Wielding Seiza you may gain +6 to listen checks and ignore any distracting noise, gaining the ability to focus in on your target sounds.

Understanding: 3/day the wielder of Seiza may activate the effect of tongues on herself.

Pre-Requisites: BAB +9. Must completely emerge Seiza in Holy Water, which is absorbs completely.

Cost: 18,000 gp, 720 xp

4th Ritual (Spear of Heaven)[edit]

Shield of Heaven: While weilding Seiza you gain, against attacks made or effects created by evil creatures, a +4 deflection bonus to AC and a +4 resistance bonus on saving throws to you and anyone within 20 feet of the you. Otherwise, it functions as a magic circle against evil effect and a lesser globe of invulnerability, both with a radius of 20 feet (caster level equals wielder’s HD). This aura can be dispelled, but you can create it again as a free action on its next turn.

Extreme Blessing: You may use "Lucky Hit" and "Blessed Hit" 5/day each.

Resolve: While wielding Seiza you gain Immunity to acid, cold, and petrification and resistance to electricity 10 and fire 10.

Pre-Requisites: BAB +15.

Cost: 50,000 gp, 2000 xp. You must be healed 50 HP in one spell by a good-aligned cleric.

5th Ritual (Key to Heaven)[edit]

Open the Gate: Once per day a the wielder can charge Seiza with holy energy, on a successful hit Seiza will cause a Heightened Crashing Lightning to strike at its location 1 round after contact

Trumpeting Blow: Seiza's hits ring out with celestial music, one per round when Seiza strikes metal all creatures except the wielder within 100 feet of the blast must succeed on a DC 19 Fortitude save or be paralyzed for 1d4 rounds.A successful save grants immunity to Trumpeting Blow for 5 rounds. The save DC is Charisma-based.

Pre-Requisites: CHA 25 or higher.

Cost: 150,000 gp, 4000 xp.

Prerequisites: N/A.
Cost to Create: Unique item, cannot be created.
