1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.

Smithy, that sword on the wall with the extra blades sticking out of it, how much?

The seven-branched sword is shaped much like a bastard sword, but with six smaller oppositely branching blades stemming from the main blade, staggered down the main blade's length, with the blade's primary tip counting as the seventh branch. Originally, these swords were ornamental, forged as a show of skill by master swordsmiths. However, such expert craftsmen began forging these blades with such skill that the weapons actually withstood use in combat. Eventually, the seven-branched blade wound up on the battlefield, where they were used at countering other weapons with enough success to warrant their continued production.

A seven-branched sword is always masterwork and includes the sword breaker and stingray leather grip additions. The weapon may be used to make trip attacks.

A proficient wielder gains a +2 circumstance bonus on disarm, sunder and trip attempts made with the weapon. When fighting defensively with the weapon, it grants a +2 shield bonus to the wielder's armor class. Attack rolls made while fighting defensively suffer only a –2 penalty instead of a –4 penalty.
