Domain Power[edit]

As far as the LD domain powers go, this one is not particularly outstanding in my opinion. Especially compared to its opposite number in the Law domain you made. A +2 bonus against most of the most annoying mind-affecting effects and such is good in a niche, sure, but it does doesn't seem as nice as the attitude boost of the Law domain. I suppose that given this domain's further combat applicability in terms of its power, it may not actually be a concern, but I thought it would be at least worth bringing up. - TG Cid 02:15, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

To be honest, I could do a mirror-flip of the Law ability, but it just seems kinda lame. I'm not really sure that this domain needs it, but it does seem rather lacking. What about extending it to just all mind-affecting anything? - MisterSinister 09:58, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
I don't think a mirror-flip of the Law ability makes sense, either. It doesn't seem right to me for chaotic creatures to have any mutual respect for each other just because they both fought the law. The very idea of chaos bespeaks of a lack of uniformity in values, in my opinion. So from a fluff perspective I'm tempted to reject that notion.
A +2 to mind-affecting effects is nice and solid, but it still strikes me as one of those lame passive bonuses. Boring, but practical. My best suggestion would have been something like the domain power for the Anarchy domain. That having been taken, I'm somewhat at a loss. - TG Cid 15:09, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Well, honestly-speaking, I'm not sure what else to suggest at this time. Domain powers are always a bit annoying, and even though a +2 bonus is kinda lame on the face of it, I think that its usefulness probably trumps that problem. - MisterSinister 19:47, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
How about: If you fail a saving throw against a mind-affecting effect, you may make another saving throw to be confused instead. The effects duration does not change. --Ideasmith 20:06, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
SRD:Random Action doesn't show up anywhere, and it might make a good replacement for Lesser Confusion (since it's used in more places). Alternately, touch attack Random Action might be a fun domain power (but then you'd still want a replacement level 1 spell to avoid redundancy). - Tarkisflux Talk 18:11, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
