On Power[edit]

I figure armor proficiencies are pretty weak (weaker than weapon proficiencies), as high dex people can't take advantage of the sudden heavy armor access, arcane casters won't need it, and most melee Strength guys already have it. So it should be balanced. Thoughts? -- Eiji-kun (talk) 10:22, 8 January 2016 (UTC)

I don't see any glaring problems off the bat, so looks fine to me. --Ghostwheel (talk) 10:30, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
I would throw in a "no need to eat, drink or breathe" for flavor reasons, and a bonus to disguise yourself as a suit of armor/statue. "You can remove armor you are stuck wearing with remove curse (CL equal to your own level) but the moment you put on any new armor, this armor becomes cursed and cannot be removed. Armor only remains cursed in contact with you." Stops being an issue once you have a character that can cast remove curse 1/day or more often. Fluffykittens (talk) 10:58, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
That's still a cost, in the form of cash or spell slots per day, so it's ok. Practically though, you won't usually change armor unless you're upgrading, or you need to get rid of ACP in a hurry. The latter is the biggest problem, as you won't always get a change to remove curse before you drown/fall/explode/whatever. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 20:25, 9 January 2016 (UTC)

Armor Removal[edit]

Is there a reason that removal is even included here, other than the ability to change armor? It's not a big deal since the benefit appears to be wear all the armors, and if you take it off that benefit vanishes, it just seems thematically weird to me. - Tarkisflux Talk 17:01, 9 January 2016 (UTC)

The proficiency doesn't vanish if you take off your armor, it just makes it difficult if you need to swap armor. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 20:25, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
I said that badly, and meant that if you're not wearing armor you aren't actually using the benefit of your trait. I was just wondering why you'd ever let them remove it entirely in the first place, rather than just give them a handwavium / time consuming armor replacement ritual / option. - Tarkisflux Talk 21:54, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
Ah I see. Yeah, you could do that. I just didn't. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 05:22, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

Future Eiji Judges Past Eiji[edit]

Discussing this trait with others, it may be too harsh. I am altering some things. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 04:26, 17 February 2019 (MST)
