High?[edit]

It allow for full-attack eldritch blast and one extra attack over that? It by far much better than the overwhelming majority of other shapes, you wold only resort to other when you need a specialized shape. It honestly it look way too good for a warlock shape at high, doubly so because it Least. --Leziad (talk) 07:00, 23 February 2015 (UTC)

A recommendation for an alteration[edit]

I love the idea. I plan on using the idea. I just would split it up. I'd create an invocation, Eldritch Weapon, that allowed a warlock to use it as a weapon, and get a full attack sequence. Just that is enough for a good invocation. Then I would have Eldritch Flurry, which is similar to a Two-Weapon Fighting feat, add the extra attack at full BAB, with the -2 to all. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea. I just think it's a bit much for a single invocation.

Alternatively, it could be a feat that allows a warlock to get a second attack, just like Two-Weapon Fighting, or Rapid Shot. It could be bought independent of the blast shape invocation that allow a full round of attacks.

Just my $0.02

The former actually exists, it is Eldritch Glaive. Flurry was applying to ranged (and melee, I suppose) as was effectively Flurry of Blasts. This generally works with base warlock, but I actually don't suggest this invocation for warlocks that give better blast progression. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 21:53, 20 November 2019 (MST)
