It's a lot of saves, making multiple opponents Helpless for several rounds doesn't immediately shout "High balance", and I object to the precision/name mismatch.

Too Weak for a 9?[edit]

As this is essentially a slightly-better mass hold monster, I don't think it deserves its current level. I would recommend a level of 7, or 8 at the most for this spell. - MisterSinister 03:56, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Mass Hold Monster, however, is a 9th level spell. Unless your argument that Mass Hold Monster itself is weak for it's level... -- Eiji-kun 05:22, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
It is too weak for its level. In truth, mass spells should never be more than 2 levels higher than their parent spell, and hold monster is a 5th level spell. This makes mass hold monster a 7th level spell in truth, which means your spell should be somewhere in the same region. - MisterSinister 19:40, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Mass spells are pretty consistently four levels higher than their parent spells. Whether this should be true or not is debatable, but it's the way the rules are written. --IGTN 19:48, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
They are consistently four levels higher, but the point is, this is way excessive. Mass hold monster does not compare favourably to other 9s, which is also my point. - MisterSinister 19:58, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
I gotta disagree here Mister Sinister. This spell is very much 9th level and here why. First it an immunity ignoring mass hold monster, which is good since it a mass SoD. In fact I would say since it bypass immunity it kind of better than things like Wail of the Banshee, but there more. It tackle two save or suck over the SoD, so creature with astronomical forts are not spared by the spell. The fact you make them roll 3 time give them three time the chance to fuckup the roll and get some nasty from the spell. If they fail the fort save they are out of the encounter, but even if they succeed they have two other saves to make or have their contribution crippled. --Leziad (talk) 20:03, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
As a side note, this is a homage/rip of Galaxy Stop from Final Fantasy Tactics, hence the name not being a literal stopping of the galaxy. I left that for Foxwarrior's Universal Dominator to causally spit out at level 1.  :P -- Eiji-kun (talk) 08:14, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
Only half as casually as before, and that is the most minor of my complaints; although this spell is so absurdly precise, you can hit the five guys around your friend without hitting your friend too. --Foxwarrior (talk) 18:24, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

Viewtiful Monarch?[edit]

Whoa. This is quite the flashy effect. I think it's definitely something that should be on the Viewtiful Monarch's spell list... --Luigifan18 (talk) 01:13, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
