Immunity to Nonlethal[edit]

How does this interact with creatures that are immune to nonlethal damage, like undead and constructs and the like? Since this is a transmutation spell and not a cure, it should work on nonliving creatures as well, right? --Sulacu (talk) 10:54, 7 November 2016 (UTC)

I am actually waffling on this. On one hand if I allow it, then it's an awesome heal but very circumstantial which might be ok. On the other hand, I'm sure PCs can abuse that. Likely I'm gonna say "if you are immune to nonlethal, it remains lethal". For the rare DR/lethal, it's a good deal though. What do you think? -- Eiji-kun (talk) 10:57, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
The simple fix would be to simply say 'Target: One living creature' and have that be that. There's various methods of achieving resistance or immunity to nonlethal, especially if you count other homebrew, so the potential for exploitation beyond the expected parameters of the spell is large. Limiting it to living creatures removes most of the potential cheese. Otherwise there's perhaps the possibility of having a creature that is immune to nonlethal instead gain temporary hit points, up to a maximum sum of current hit points + temporary hit points equal to your maximum hit points. --Sulacu (talk) 11:17, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
Simple is good. I'll apply that fix. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 11:35, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
