Talk:Quin's Invisible Ink (5e Magic Item)

I am creating a campaign where the barkeep has a secret room with a bookshelf full of notes he has kept on the townsfolk, the comings and goings, and the crime that has occurred. Would it be realistic for him to have this item?

Also I wanted to gain some clarification on its use. Does the magic ink, in general, fade after one week or does it only fade after one week if it is a mark? Is there a way for him to extend these notes to exist on-going?

Sorry if these are all silly questions, I am fairly new to this and don't want to come off like a rookie when I run my campaign.

Not silly at all. This is a home-brew magic item. You may, of course, modify it in any way you like for your campaign. I originally set a time limit of 1 week to make it less likely to be discovered by someone not intended to see the message. I was thinking this would be something a spy or criminal boss would find useful. I will make a minor change to accommodate your needs. --Rlyehable (talk) 11:19, 26 January 2019 (MST)
