Actually, let me also put this on here until the problems below are addressed.

The damage scaling concerns me[edit]

I'm for scaling damage, but I'd like to have my level 9ths have a benefit for being 9th level. With no worries about a save DC, it's just 20d6 plus prone, and I'd pay good levels for that. Perhaps switch to a smaller scale, even something like "unarmed damage plus 1d6 + 1 per level" or something. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 13:13, 6 March 2015 (UTC)

I would echo Eiji's sentiments. This already has a certain utility by virtue of status effect and space switching. Even if you want to make maneuvers more akin to spellcasting (scaling utility with level, ergo Polar Ray is a first level spell), I think this has enough utility that you could reduce the damage scaling. As I know you know, less die rolling is also good, so to tack ideas onto Eiji's offering, I might say 1d6 + initiator level + ability modifier, if you want have more damage than Eiji's idea but less than d6/level. Otherwise I feel this needs some sort of side bar saying: "Hey, I don't like how maneuvers scale in Tome of Battle, so here's what I changed and why, and you can find similar maneuvers here (insert link)." -- Jota (talk) 13:36, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
