SR=character level + 1 is worthless, a SR check is against a CL check and this would make it so an equal leveled caster would never fail to overcome. Grog toad (talk) 15:02, 28 May 2016 (UTC)

I think the point is to obtain this as early as possible so you can benefit from SR 9 at a very low level, which at a core cost of 4k for a +1 lesser spellshield armor and expanded crafting rules should be well possible, let alone all the homebrew that allows for even earlier acquisition. In such a situation it could be somewhat useful. That said, I kind of have to agree with Grog; I'm not exactly a fan of a weapon/armor quality that loses effectiveness the higher your level is. If you're not going all in on spell resistance you might as well replace this with something else when you get to like level 5 or 6. --Sulacu (talk) 15:15, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
Sulacu is correct, this is only a taste. You might have seen a recent edit where I set a floor for the SR, so that you have a reason to pick this up early before it starts trailing off. Someone who gets this is expected to upgrade to Spellshield and Greater Spellshield when possible. Until then its mostly an anti-mook measure. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 03:12, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
