Questions[edit]

For the area effect, why are you not using the SRD environmental acid rules, possibly in conjunction with some dilution rules if you don't get the whole body of water? And which part of this spell is permanent (and thus subject to dispel)? - Tarkisflux Talk 22:34, 13 September 2012 (UTC)

In the end, the total immersion damage is equal to the 10d6 from the environmental acid rules; I thought it would be fairer to make it scale to that level so that it's not mega-awesome earlier and then the scaling touch damage would be slightly better to make the water body bit more useful in comparison to the single-target variety. That may have been overzealous, given that most people hit by the water body version will probably be subject to the immersion effect. So I can change that.
As for the duration, it should really just be Instantaneous. I thought saying it was permanent ensured that there would be no automatic reversal of the effect, but that's not necessary. I had the same discrepancy on devour soul, so it has been fixed. - TG Cid (talk) 14:36, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
Also, I am OK with my dilution effect, but if you have any qualms with it or have a better suggestion I am all ears. - TG Cid (talk) 14:50, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
