Armor speed reduction[edit]

Does this effect it at all? -- Eiji-kun (talk) 02:02, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

To my knowledge/opinion, No. The reason for Armor check penalty, Armor speed reduction, spell failure chance, and (half the) maximum dexterity bonus are because of the weight/ difficulty moving in X armor. if you were to take away the weight Weightless Object and the only thing remaining is the lack of flexibility, then I as a DM would say to remove the above penalties and double the maximum dexterity bonus (being that only the physical restraints remain.). If I am correct this would be a VERY sought-after effect for heavy-plate wearing adventurers. Snafusam talk 23:56 May 07, 2013
my questions are: would it effect the equip time, to my knowledge full plate takes 4 minutes (40 rounds) to equip with help? would less weight allow an adventurer to equip Heavy armor faster/without help?? would a character be able to sleep in it without the usual fatigue and exhaustion penalty???
